This looked like such a fun sketch, I had to find the time to get it done. I had the occasion – my childhood friend’s birthday; I had the design; I just had to find the time, which I finally did earlier this week, but too late to submit the card – ah well!
Here’s my take on the sketch:
I knew from the beginning that I did not want to use a basic circle for the bottom right element and I didn’t want to do a ribbon and bow. The new extra large Sunflower stamp from the new Stampin’ Up! IB&C and the butterfly were perfect substitutions while still sticking to the basic design. Here’s a list of what I used:
Cardstock: Pool Party, Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Soft Suede, More Mustard, Very Vanilla, and First Edition Specialty DSP
Ink: Soft Suede, Blushing Bride, More Mustard, Early Espresso, Regal Rose, Soft Suede Marker.
Stamps: Sunflower, Bird on a Branch (retired)
Accessories & Tools: Big Shot, Lace Ribbon Border Punch, 1 3/4” Circle Punch, 1/16” Circle Punch, Designer Frames Embossing Folder, Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die, Antique Brads (retired), sponges, jewelry twine (non-SU!), Color Spritzer Tool.
If you would like more details, including measurements or techniques, leave a message and I will let you know.
Thanks for looking and happy stamping!
